It depends if the Library has an eBook licence for the title you are trying to read. To find an eBook, enter the book title in to Library Search then use the filters on the right-hand side:

  • under 'Show only' click 'Full text online'
  • under 'Refine my results' click 'Books'

Your results will then be narrowed down to eBooks only and the record will advise there is 'Online access'

If you click on the 'View it' tab you will see a further link to click on which will take you to the e-book webpage. If you are off-campus you will then have to login using your IT username and password.

If the title you are looking for is not listed, then we do not have a licence for the eBook. If you would like to recommend that we buy an eBook licence you can make a request using our More Books! scheme. Please note that for some books, it is not possible to buy a library licence due to publisher restrictions, or there may not be an e-Book available for that particular title.

It is worth noting that licenses for eBooks can differ from one another, some titles are limited to one user at a time and others are unlimited. If you are unsure what our access to an eBook is or are unable to view an eBook, please contact us.

The eBook page gives more information on the Library's eBooks collections.
