If you are a University of Leicester student:
The Library is unable to alter the expiration of your library account as this is controlled by the finishing dates listed on your student record. If you need to retain Library privileges for longer, for example, if you are resitting a module, this should feed through automatically, but please speak to your school for confirmation that your record has been extended.
You can review and update your details by logging into My Student Record.
If you are a member of staff:
If you are employed directly by the University of Leicester, the library is unable to alter the expiration date of your library account as this is linked to your employment record. Please speak to your department and Human Resources if you think that your library account (and/or IT account) is expiring when it should not. For general HR advice and information, email hradvice@le.ac.uk or call 0116 252 2439.
If you are employed by Unitemps, you have an Associate Patron library account (e.g. for a visiting academic, or member of staff on a short term contract), that has been created by the library, please bring proof of contract end dates (for example a letter from your department specifying your employment period) to the Library Reception, or ask your department to email library@le.ac.uk to extend your account.
If you have SCONUL membership:
You will need to reapply through SCONUL to be given a new expiry date. Please bring your confirmation email (in print or on a mobile device) to the Service Desk in the Library and your account can be renewed. You will need to present your University ID. If you have finished your studies, you can apply for a new membership with the library.
If you are an external member:
Please bring photo identification (such as a drivers' license) to the Service Desk in the Library and your account can be renewed.
