If you are unable to find a book that should be on the shelf Library staff will conduct a number of searches to find it.
The searches are carried out over approximately a week. When we find the book we will place a hold on it for you. How quickly this happens depends on a number of factors:
- Whether we find it on the first search
- How many copies of the book we have
- The number of students we are helping
If the book is found it will be placed on hold for you, and you will be notified by email.
If the book is not found and we have more than one copy a hold will be placed on your behalf so that when a copy is returned it is held for you.
If the book is not found and we have only one copy we will contact you by email regarding the options available.
