The number of requests (holds) you can have at any one time is dependent on the type of Library user you are.
|Type of Reader||Permitted Holds|
|Academic staff and research postgraduates||30|
|Taught course postgraduates||8|
|Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) students||8|
|Other University staff||8|
Please remember that requested items remain on the shelf in the Express Zone for 5 days from the date of notification. After this date the book will be placed back on the regular shelves if no other users are waiting. If there are users waiting they will be made available for them.
If you are unable to collect your requested item by the expiry date, please contact the Enquiry Service for assistance on 0116 2522043 or email@example.com during staffed hours.
Requested items cannot be posted out to you unless you are a Distance Learner, nor can they be sent to you in the University internal post.
You cannot place a request on items:
- that are currently available on the main library shelves (unless you are a registered Distance Learner)
- if you already have an active request on the same title.
- that you already have out on loan i.e. requesting a second copy
