Q. I'm a distance learner. How do I request a postal loan?

Distance learning students and part time research postgraduate students are entitled to postal loans to access the print resources in the library. The books will be sent out to your address free of charge using a tracked service, and you will also be provided with a free returns label to securely return your books to the library. (Please note, return labels are valid for 90 days. If you require a new returns label, please email library@le.ac.uk). 

Items will renew automatically as long as you are eligible for borrowing, but are subject to the standard recall policy and can be recalled at any time, so please check your email regularly for any change of date notifications.

To place a request for a postal loan, you will need to follow these steps:

1. Find the item in Library Search
2. Login to your library account
3. In the Get It section, click on 'Request'
4. Select Pick Up Location = 'Personal Delivery', and select either your Home or Work postal address.
5. Click on 'Request'
