If you are a University of Leicester student or member of staff, your loans will automatically renew, providing your account is not blocked or the loans are not needed by another library user (autorenewal is currently not available to associate staff and external borrowers).
However, you can manually renew your loans, in one of the following ways:
- If a student or staff member of the University:
If on-campus, on the library homepage, click on the library account link (below the library search), and you should be automatically logged in;
If off-campus, on the library search results page, click on the Students & staff link at the top right of the screen, and enter your IT account username and password to login.
- If an external borrower of the library:
on the library search results page, click on the Visitors link at the top right of the screen, and enter your library number (beginning 075....) and password to login.
Your loans will be displayed under My Account, with their current due dates, and you can select which loans to renew.
Telephone: By calling 0116 252 2043
Email: by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
In the Library: At the self-issue points or in person at the Library Service desk
You cannot renew loans if they are requested by another library user, or if your account is blocked.
