Non-Distance Learners are only entitled to postal loans of books they have already placed a hold, in the first week of vacation - this service will be advertised if it is available. Please contact the University Library on 0116 252 2043 for more information.

Distance Learners at the University of Leicester are entitled to postal loans all year round, subject to Library regulations.

To request a postal loan if you are a distance learner:

Step One: Identify the book you wish to see by searching the catalogue

Step Two: Login to your online library account by clicking the blue 'Students & staff' link in the top right-hand corner of the page

Step Three: Click 'Get it' on the book you want then 'request'. You'll be able to chose whether to pick it up from the Library or have to posted to your home address

More information on postal loans can be found on our Distance Learner webpages here.
