If you are intending to drive to campus, there is very limited parking facilities directly on campus and you may need to use a nearby car park. Parking on campus is via permit only and visitors will be directed to a nearby car park, unless prior arrangements have been made for your visit. It may be possible to park on campus after 5pm during the week and at weekends, however this is at the discretion of University Security.
The Freemen's Common Multi-Storey car park (MSCP) is a short walk from the central campus, as well as being open to staff, students and visitors, it is also open to the general public throughout the year. Contactless payments can be made upon exit at the barriers or by using the payment machines on the lower ground and ground floors. Click the link for more information, https://le.ac.uk/engagement/community/residents/car-park
There are also a number of other local car parks available. These can be seen on the visitor’s map.
Staff are able to apply for a parking permit by using the university’s parking portal and visiting parking.le.ac.uk.
If you are a student and intend to bring your car to campus, please see information about bring your car to campus on the student transport page (University log in required).
If you require parking on campus due to a medical condition, or are a blue badge holder you will need to speak to University Estates and Campus Services (ECS).
If you have any queries related to parking at the University of Leicester, please contact the ECS team by phone +44 (0)116 252 2319 or email ecs-service@le.ac.uk.
