Q. I cannot pick up the book I requested, can I extend it?

If you have an item waiting for collection and you are unable to collect it before the expiry date, please get in contact with us. We keep requested books on the request shelves in the Information Hub for 7 days - we are not normally able to extend, particularly if there are others waiting for the item after you, but if you contact us we can check the item and we may be able to hold it for a short while longer for you. Please note that we will be unable to send the book to you in the post if you are unable to collect it.
