Q. I am not a student or member of staff. Can I access the Library's electronic resources?

For licensing reasons, access to subscription resources (e.g. electronic journals, eBooks and databases) is restricted to current University of Leicester students and staff. 

Our external members have access to our print collections. See our Joining the Library page for more information.

If you are an external member you may be able to access some electronic resources through your local library service or via your current institution if you are a student or employee of another university.

The Library provides access to the following free digital resources that are available to anyone: 

• University of Leicester research (publications and datasets from University researchers)
• Special Collections Online (primary source material from our Archives and Special Collections)
• Archives and Special Collections exhibitions
