All books checked out on your Library Account are your responsibility, therefore any fines incurred, whether you are away or at the University will stand.
During vacation periods we do our best to offer extended loan periods. In order to extend your loans you will need to renew your books. Please check your due dates carefully as item with requests will have a shortened loan period. The charge of overdue fine for recalled items is 50p per day or part of a day per item. You cannot renew loans if they are requested by another library user, or if your account is blocked.
You can check your loaned books due date, renew books and any outstanding fines online by logging into your Library account via Library Homepage, or phone the Library on 0116 252 2043 or email us email@example.com.
Please find an instruction of how to login your Library account online:
- From the Library Homepage click on Library account under My Accounts section:
- This will bring you to your Library account page which shows you details of items on your loans, their due dates, renewal option and any outstanding fines:
Please note that if you try to login your Library account from off-campus, you will be asked to put your IT username and password before reaching your account information page.
If you have finished using your books, or they are recalled, you can post them back to the Library. The address is:
|University of Leicester Library|
|PO Box 248|
We advise you either obtain proof of postage (receipt) or use a trackable service as you are responsible for their safe return.
