Q. I have requested a book, and I've been waiting over a week. Can you tell me who has it so I can ask them myself to return it?

If you are waiting for a requested book to be returned to the library, we are not able to advise which user currently has the book you requested due to Data Protection laws.

Where a book has been requested, the user with the book on loan will be given 7 days to return it. However, please bear in mind that if there are several requests placed on an item, the wait for an item may be significantly longer than a week. You can check your place in the queue by logging into your Library Account and checking your Requests.

If you are number 1 in the queue and you have been waiting for longer than 7 days, please contact library@le.ac.uk or call 0116 252 2448 so that we can look into it for you.
