Books can be returned via self-return machines on the Ground Floor near the stairs. Please follow the on screen steps to return the books from your account and request an email receipt when you have completed your returns, so that you receive a notification to your email account. Once the return is complete, please place your books through the ‘Books Returns’ slot.

NOTE: Please ensure all laptops; other loanable equipment and inter library loan items are returned at the Information Hub desk, not by using the self-return machines.

If the Library is closed or you do not want to enter the library building, you can also return books through the drop box at the entrance to the Library (please do not return laptops or other loanable equipment via the dropbox). Books are collected regularly my staff, but as this is not an automated return method, please allow upto 24 hours for books to be removed from your account if using this return method. If a book returned by the dropbox remains on your account for more than a few days, please contact us to let us know.

If you are away from the University, you can return your loans by post to:

We advise you to use a tracked service and retain proof of postage as you are responsible for their safe return.
