The White Card Holder Scheme is a scheme run by the library and the AccessAbility Centre that enables students who need extra help with library tasks to receive the support that they need.
Working in conjunction with the Library, AccessAbility staff can consult with students about their needs and register them onto the White Card Scheme. This entitles the students to specific help from Library staff with tasks such as photocopying material, collecting books from the shelves, and finding suitable study spaces. White Card Holders do not have a physical white card issued to them but their Library account is updated to reflect their connection to the scheme. AccessAbility Centre staff can also arrange a one to one appointment with a member of Library staff as necessary.
Students who wish to be considered for this scheme should contact the AccessAbility Centre. The AccessAbility Centre supports students with specific learning difficulties, sensory disabilities, mobility difficulties, mental health conditions and autism.
