Q. Can I renew my laptop?

Renewal of laptops borrowed from the library is not usually possible. The University’s loanable laptops are in very high demand and are meant for short-term use only. Please be aware that overdue laptops will incur fines of £5 per day or part of a day. 

If you require a laptop for a longer period than 28 days and are unable to obtain one for financial reasons, we would recommend that you contact the University's Welfare team at welfare@le.ac.uk or 0116 223 1185. They will be able to advise whether any further support is available to you. 

If the laptop is due and something is impeding the laptop's return (for example, a train strike or unforeseen person circumstances) please contact us at library@le.ac.uk or 0116 252 2448 so that we can advise further. Please also note that the laptops loaned by the Library should not be taken out of the United Kingdom.
