If you are a non-EU student and wish to travel in Europe you can request a Schengen/travel visa letter to help with this. The details and what team can assist differs depending on your course of study:

Undergraduate students
You can request a Schengen/travel visa letter by e-mailing studentservices@le.ac.uk. Please specify your travel destination and dates in your e-mail. If you are planning on visiting France, Italy or Spain the letter may take up to ten working days to produce.

Postgraduate taught students
You can request a Schengen/travel visa letter by e-mailing studentservices@le.ac.uk, however your School will need to approve any absences from your course. Please specify your travel destination and dates in your e-mail. If you are planning on visiting France, Italy or Spain the letter may take up to ten working days to produce.

Postgraduate research students
For travel in these areas, you will need to download a Certificate of Registration from the 'My Uni Documents' section of MyStudentRecord. You will also need to request an additional letter for your School that confirms you have approved leave from your course.

Distance Learning undergraduate and postgraduate students
If you are a Distance Learning student studying on a undergraduate or postgraduate taught course please contact dlstudy@leicester.ac.uk to request a letter.

More information on the letters available to our students can be found here: https://le.ac.uk/library/using/information-hub/letters
