Q. How many books can I borrow?

University students and staff may borrow up to 40 items, for a minimum of 7 days. If items are not held or recalled for other users they may be kept for as long as needed and will be renewed automatically. The exceptions are locker keys which should be returned when leaving the Library: these are not automatically renewed. Some items are for use in the Library only.

Guest borrowers may borrow up to 10 items for a minimum of 7 days and up to 4 weeks if items are not held or recalled for other users. Some items are for use in the Library only.

Students studying on a distance learning course, and part-time postgraduate research students may request postal loans, articles from journals and chapters to be supplied directly to them.
