There are no Prayer Rooms in the Library Building itself, but there are many across the University of Leicester campus.

The closest Muslim Prayer Rooms to the Library are in the Charles Wilson Building and are less than five minutes' walk away. They are located on the mezzanine floor and open to all University of Leicester students and staff. The Brothers’ prayer room is located immediately to your left, whilst the Sisters’ prayer room is at the end of the corridor on your right. There are separate ablution/wudu facilities for Brothers and Sisters just before the Sisters' prayer room.

For information about other Muslim Prayer Rooms across campus, please see the 'Islam' section of the University's faith-based support webpage. There are also videos showing how to access these rooms, including the ones in the Charles Wilson building, available to watch online.

If you are a University of Leicester Alumnus and require access to any of these Muslim Prayer Rooms, please see this page from the Students' Union about how this may be organised.

The closest Christian Prayer Space to the Library is the chapel in the University Chaplaincy. The chapel is available for prayer and reflection during term-time Tues-Thurs between 9am-5pm. More information about the Chaplaincy, alongside the services and support they provide, can be found on their webpages

In the addition to the above, there is also a Multi-faith room located on the ground floor of Brookfield house (BRK 0.06). The Multi-faith room is open to all students and staff.

If you have any queries about these spaces, please e-mail faith@le.ac.uk.
