Scopus is a large database designed for finding academic-quality publications. It aims to cover most subject areas. It focuses on peer-reviewed journal literature, but also has some conference proceedings and books. 

It can be for literature searching at all levels of study and research. Scopus has good advanced search functions, making it an ideal resource for systematic literature reviews.
