The Library pays for a number of open access agreements with major journal publishers. These allow University of Leicester affiliated authors to publish an article open access without the author paying a charge or fee. These are sometimes called 'read and publish deals' or 'transformative agreements'.

You can find the details on the current agreements we have at the bottom of this page. To see whether your intended journal is in a deal, you need to know the name of the publisher first.

Please read the eligibility criteria carefully, as they differ by publisher.
