Ebooks from VLeBooks can be downloaded using the VLeBooks app. Follow the instructions below to install the app and download books to your chosen device.
Download the app
We recommend that you download ebooks for offline reading onto personal devices. The VLeBooks app is not available on university-managed student devices.
To download the app onto a personal device:
If you are using a university-managed staff device:
- Go to the Software Centre
- Find and install the VLeBooks app
View ebooks in the app
When you have found an ebook to download from VLeBooks:
- Click Download.
- Choose download length and select VLe App from the dropdown menu.
- Click Download.
- If it is your first time using the app, click Generate new access code. If it is not your first time using the app, your download will appear in the app straight away.
- Copy the access code.
- Open the VLeBooks app and click Continue with Access Code.
- Paste the access code.
- Click Sign In to your institution.
- Your downloaded ebook will appear in the My Loans section.
- Click on the ebook and select Download
You may view downloaded ebooks on up to 6 devices.
How do I find the access code?
You can either:
- Click Generate new access code when downloading an ebook, or
- Go to My Account on the VLeBooks platform and click the VLeBooks App tab.
