From the Library homepage, click on Databases A-Z > W > Westlaw Edge UK.  Login with your university IT username and password.

The first time you login to Westlaw, you will be prompted to create a 'Thomson Reuters One Pass' account.  You need to register with your name and university email address. One Pass allows you to personalise your Westlaw experience (favourites, highlights, notes, email alerts). You should not require a 'Registration Key' - please contact the library if you are unable to log in without entering a key.

Sometimes when you are directed to Westlaw from your reading list, or your browser has been idle for some time, you may come across a different Westlaw UK / One Pass login page.  If this happens, scroll down and click on 'Access through Open Athens'. You may be prompted to log in to a university screen with your usual university IT username and password.

If you are still having difficulty accessing Westlaw, please follow the steps below:

  • Use a computer or laptop (not phone or tablet)
  • Use the Chrome internet browser (not Safari)
  • Access Westlaw via Library Search or the Databases A-Z on the Library website (not a Google search)
  • Try clearing the cache and cookies on the internet browser

If you continue to have difficultly accessing Westlaw, please contact your academic librarian librarians@le.ac.uk
