What is Box of Broadcasts and how do I access it?

Answer

Box of Broadcasts (BoB) is an on demand TV and radio archive and recording service, which allows University of Leicester staff and students to access already recorded programmes from over 60 TV and radio stations. Note: BoB is usually only available in the UK.

Box of Broadcasts can be accessed from the Search and Discover our Collections webpage:

Once logged in, you will be able to access a series of video tutorials

Our own 6-minute tutorial video provides further guidance on accessing the resource.

In order to get the full functionality on campus we recommend using Firefox to access the site. Edge, Internet Explorer 11 or later, Firefox, Chrome and Safari are recommended off campus.

Box of Broadcasts is also accessible via mobile devices.

Users can make clips and embed these onto Blackboard, social media platforms, or use them in presentations, such as Powerpoint, or just watch them through their browser, either on campus or remotely.
