What is Eikon and how can I use it?

Eikon is available on on-campus PCs or can be downloaded onto your own laptop/PC.  On a Mac you can use Eikon Web. 

To access Eikon on any device please contact librarians@le.ac.uk and ask for a password.  You can have up to 4 hours' access per day.

Description 

EIKON is well-regarded database extensively used both in academia and industry. EIKON includes global economic, company and financial data. 

EIKON includes: 

  • Thomson ONE Banker equivalent data (deals, ownership, credit analysis, real-time research, company events and financials) 
  • World Scope full package 
  • Reuters fundamentals 
  • IBES 
  • Consensus Global Current 
  • Deal analytics (Global Merger and Acquisition, ECM, DCM transactions

  • ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) Data 
  • Datastream Excel add-in 
  • EIKON Excel add-in 

Getting started with EIKON and Training 

Online training videos are available to show how to use the various features with EIKON. To register use your University email address.  

You can also use EIKON with Excel either by copying data in, or by importing it using the Excel add-in. Tutorials on this are available from the LSEG Learning Centre.
