Can we access NVivo? Does the Library provide support for users of NVivo?

Answer

NVivo is software for qualitative data analysis. It often used by students and staff who work with questionnaires, surveys or interviews in their research.

IT Services manage the subscription. On University computers, it is available via the Software Center.

NVivo is available for Home Use but only for people living in the UK. This reflects the terms of the license that the publisher offers to universities. Any questions about this should go to ITS.

The Library doesn't offer 1-2-1 support or tutorials about NVivo, but these might help:

PhD students can access a series of online tutorials in Blackboard: https://blackboard.le.ac.uk/webapps/blackboard/content/listContent.jsp?course_id=_7951_1&content_id=_1361521_1

The publisher's own tutorials https://www.qsrinternational.com/nvivo-qualitative-data-analysis-software/support-services/customer-hub/getting-started/nvivo-tutorials

Dr Alan Shaw's tutorials https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5s9-rg1ygWs

We have several introductory books to NVivo e.g. Bazeley and Jackson, Qualitative data analysis with NVivo (2013) https://librarysearch.le.ac.uk/permalink/f/12sqlp3/44UOLE_ALMA2191773760002746
