Can I access Embase?

Answer

The University Library does not have access to the Embase database.

However, Embase references are included in Scopus, so a Scopus search will find material from Embase.

If you have an NHS Athens account, you can access Embase via the NHS.   See this separate FAQ for details of how to access NHS databases.

If you are an undergraduate student in Diagnostic Radiography, Medicine, Midwifery, Nursing, Operating Department Practice, Pharmacy or Physiotherapy, you will have an NHS Athens account set up by the University Library.   Email librarians@le.ac.uk if you need a reminder or have problems logging in.

If you teach students on any of those undergraduate courses, the University Library can set you up with an NHS Athens account.  Please email librarians@le.ac.uk to request this.

If you are a student on another course or a researcher, and work in the NHS, contact your NHS library about NHS Athens.
