How do I make links to books or journals that work will off campus?

Answer

Add the Library's proxy server link to your link and it will work on or off campus.

For example, to https://www.clinicalkey.com/#!/browse/book/3-s2.0-C20180021994

Add http://ezproxy.lib.le.ac.uk/login?url=

To make

http://ezproxy.lib.le.ac.uk/login?url=https://www.clinicalkey.com/#!/browse/book/3-s2.0-C20180021994

If your link looks like this:

https://www-clinicalkey-com.ezproxy3.lib.le.ac.uk/#!/browse/book/3-s2.0-C20180021994

or this :

https://www-clinicalkey-com.ezproxy4.lib.le.ac.uk/#!/browse/book/3-s2.0-C20180021994

edit it to make it more reliable:

Step 1 – remove .ezproxy3.lib.le.ac.uk or .ezproxy4.lib.le.ac.uk including the initial full stop (period) to make: https://www-clinicalkey-com/#!/browse/book/3-s2.0-C20180021994

Step 2 - Replace any hyphens with full stops (periods) to make: https://www.clinicalkey.com/#!/browse/book/3-s2.0-C20180021994

Step 3 – Add the proxy link to make:  http://ezproxy.lib.le.ac.uk/login?url=https://www.clinicalkey.com/#!/browse/book/3-s2.0-C20180021994
