Do we subscribe to British Newspaper Archive?

Answer

British Newspaper Archive [https://www.britishnewspaperarchive.co.uk/] is an online collection of 700+ local and national newspapers from the UK and Ireland from the 18th century onwards.

We do not have an institutional subscription to this resource, due to historic licensing issues.

Free to access is available in the British Library reading rooms, or via Find My Past at Leicestershire Libraries and at the county record office. You can also access British Newspaper Archive via individual subscriptions, which are reasonably priced.

We subscribe instead to British Library Newspapers, the alternative product licensed to universities. You can see all our newspaper collections in this reading list: https://rl.talis.com/3/leicester/lists/F13BD503-DEBF-3795-0326-620F3289045F.html
