How do I cite an image?

Answer

For guidance on citing any document/resource you have used in your assignment, check your module handbook or ask your course tutor.

Alternatively, find the exact style of referencing preferred by your department and use a library style guide.

There are many different referencing styles in common use. The University of Leicester has four official styles which are listed on the library's Reference page.
The purpose of referencing is to acknowledge the work of others in your work and avoid plagiarism.

You can use bibliographic software which is designed to store citations, insert citations into documents and create bibliographies. The University supports two software packages: EndNote and RefWorks.  Guidance on how to use them is at the bottom of the library's Reference page.
