Q. I tried to borrow a book but my card was blocked, why would this happen?

If you have attempted to borrow a library book but your account has been blocked, this may have happened because you have an overdue item on your library account, or because you have over £10 of library fines. Please speak to a member of staff at the Information Hub and we will be able to address and resolve any issues with your account.

Please ensure that you check your university emails regularly so that you are aware of any changes of due dates to the items that you have borrowed. You can check your library account to see a list of books/items that you have borrowed and when they are due back, as well as any fines that are currently on your library account. Please visit the Information Hub desk to pay any fines.
