The Library has 20 Group Study Rooms which may be booked by University of Leicester students only. They are not available for individual study, teaching, presentations, interviews or for University meetings.

To book a Group Study Room, visit the library homepage and select 'book a study space', which will prompt you to log in with your student IT account and password (see below). You will then be able to select the room, time and date that you wish to utilise the space for.

Important information:

  • The person making the booking will be responsible for the room and for ensuring that all users of the room during this booking comply with Library regulations.
  • Minimum occupancy for all rooms is four persons except for Room 2.5 where it is three. Maximum occupancy is stated in the Room name. Please check the room descriptions before booking and comply with the stated maximum occupancy.
  • Room 1.1 is available to taught Postgraduates only. Rooms 1.4 and 1.5 are available to Research postgraduates only.
  • You are entitled to make one booking for up to 2 hours per person, per day.
  • If a room is not occupied within 30 minutes of the start of a booking it may be used by another group.
